Keine WM 2027 in Deutschland

Faustball Deutschland wird die Faustball-Weltmeisterschaft der Männer im Jahr 2027 nicht ausrichten!

Hier die Stellungnahme von Faustball Deutschland:

Diese Entscheidung ist uns nicht leicht gefallen. Die verantwortlichen Gremien von Faustball Deutschland haben sie nach umfangreichen und intensiven Beratungen einstimmig und geschlossen getroffen. Ausschlaggebend waren letztlich mehrere Bedingungen, die von der International Fistball Association (IFA) zuletzt als nicht verhandelbar bezeichnet und eingefordert wurden.

Unter den von der IFA vorgegebenen Rahmenbedingungen wäre die Ausrichtung für unseren Verband aus wirtschaftlichen, organisatorischen und insbesondere rechtlichen Gründen nicht möglich gewesen. Als Ausrichter hätte Faustball Deutschland das gesamte wirtschaftliche und organisatorische Risiko einer solchen Sportgroßveranstaltung getragen. Unser maßgeblich ehrenamtlich organisierter Verband muss mit seinen knappen personellen und finanziellen Ressourcen gerade bei einem Projekt dieser Größenordnung besonders sorgfältig planen und tragfähige Rahmenbedingungen gewährleisten. Dies sahen alle Verantwortlichen einmütig in der Gesamtbetrachtung aller Faktoren und Bedingungen zuletzt nicht mehr gewährleistet.

Mit dieser Entscheidung schafft Faustball Deutschland die gewünschte Klarheit, um eine Neuausschreibung der WM 2027 zu ermöglichen.

Die Verhandlungen mit der IFA waren zeitintensiv und jederzeit respektvoll. Trotz der intensiven Bemühungen beider Seiten konnte am Ende keine tragfähige Einigung erzielt werden. Wir bedauern diesen Schritt, da wir uns alle eine andere Entwicklung gewünscht hätten.

In Folge dessen schreibt die IFA die WM 2027 neu aus:

IFA eröffnet Vergabe der IFA Männer-Weltmeisterschaft 2027 neu

Liebe Mitgliedsverbände,

liebe potentielle Ausrichtervereine und -städte, die IFA öffnet den Vergabe-Prozess zur Durchführung der IFA Männer-Weltmeisterschaft 2027 neu. Ursprünglich war die Weltmeisterschaft an Deutschland vergeben worden. Die International Fistball Association (IFA) und Faustball Deutschland haben die Vertragsgespräche zur Ausrichtung der Faustball-Weltmeisterschaft der Männer 2027 leider erfolglos beendet. Nach intensiven Verhandlungen hat Faustball Deutschland die Ausrichtung der Weltmeisterschaft 2027 zurückzugeben. Das IFA-Präsidium hat daher beschlossen, das Turnier neu auszuschreiben.

Das Ziel ist klar: Wir wollen auf dem Erfolg der Weltmeisterschaft 2023 in Mannheim und der Weltmeisterschaft 2019 in Winterthur aufbauen und ein weiteres Weltklasse-Event für die globale Faustballgemeinschaft veranstalten.

Es ist das Ziel des Präsidiums die Veranstaltungen bis zur IFA-Präsidiumssitzung am 30. August 2025 zu vergeben.

Bewerber sollten ihr Interesse an einer Bewerbung bis spätestens 30. Juni 2025 über die oben gelistete Internetseite bekunden. Damit startet ein transparenter und rascher Bewerbungsprozess, zu dem ein Austausch mit der IFA, ein Fragebogen und eine Bewertung der Bewerbung durch eine Jury zählt. Der Interessent geht durch die Interessensbekundung keinerlei Verpflichtungen oder Kosten ein.

Für alle potentiellen Bewerber gilt, dass die IFA durch den IFA Head of Events unter s.spille@fistball.sport jederzeit für Auskünfte und Beratung zum Bewerbungsdokument zur Verfügung stehen.

Die IFA wird allen potentiellen Bewerbern, die ihr Interesse signalisiert haben, die gleiche Unterstützung zur Vorbereitung der Bewerbungsdokumente zukommen lassen.

Potentielle Ausrichter können sein:

– ein nationale IFA Mitgliedsverband oder

– ein Verein oder

– eine Stadt in Kooperation mit einem Verein.

Die Bewerbungen werden von der IFA Sportkommission in Zusammenarbeit mit weiteren Kommissionen bewertet und abschließend vom IFA Präsidium behandelt.

Faustball Germany will not host the Men’s Fistball World Championship in 2027!

Here is Faustball Germany’s statement:

This decision was not an easy one. The responsible committees of Faustball Germany made it unanimously and unanimously after extensive and intensive consultations. Ultimately, several conditions that the International Fistball Association (IFA) recently declared non-negotiable and demanded were decisive.

Under the framework conditions stipulated by the IFA, hosting the event would not have been possible for our association for economic, organizational, and especially legal reasons. As host, Faustball Germany would have borne the entire economic and organizational risk of such a major sporting event. Our association, which is largely run on a voluntary basis, must plan particularly carefully and ensure sustainable conditions for a project of this magnitude, given its limited human and financial resources. All those responsible unanimously agreed that this was no longer guaranteed, considering all factors and conditions.

With this decision, Fistball Germany is creating the desired clarity to enable a new tender for the 2027 World Championship.

The negotiations with the IFA were time-consuming and respectful at all times. Despite intensive efforts by both sides, no viable agreement could ultimately be reached. We regret this step, as we would all have preferred a different outcome.

As a result, the IFA is re-tendering the 2027 World Championship:

IFA is seeking bids for IFA 2027 Men’s World Championship

Dear Member Federation,

dear potential host club and host city,

IFA is reopening the bidding process for the organization of the IFA 2027 Men’s World Championship. The World Championship was originally awarded to Germany. The International Fistball Association (IFA) and Fistball Germany have unfortunately ended the contract talks for the organization of the 2027 Fistball Men’s World Championship without success. After intensive negotiations, Fistball Germany has returned the hosting of the 2027 World Championship. The IFA Board of Directors has therefore decided to retender the tournament.

The goal is clear: we want to build on the success of the 2023 World Championship in Mannheim and the 2019 World Championship in Winterthur and organize another world-class event for the global Fistball community.

The Board of Directors aims to award the World Championship by the IFA Board of Directors meeting on 30 August 2025.

Deadline for Interest: Monday, 30 June 2025

Applicants should express their interest in applying by 30 June 2025 at the latest via the website listed above (www.ifa.sport/events). This marks the start of a transparent and fast application process, which includes a contact with the IFA, a questionnaire and an evaluation of the application by a jury. The interested party does not enter into any obligations or costs by expressing an interest.

To all potential hosts: Please do not hesitate to contact IFA Head of Events (s.spille@fistball.sport) any time within the bidding process for consultation concerning the bid.

IFA will provide all potential bidders showing interest the same support to prepare their bidding document.

Potential bidders/hosts could be a:

– national IFA member association or

– club or

– city in co-operation with a club.

Bids will be reviewed by the IFA Sports Commission with input from other Commissions, with final approval upon their recommendation by the IFA Board of Directors.
